Just because you’re employed, it doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t need to complete a tax return

If you are employed, the tax due on your employment will be collected at source through Pay as You Earn. However, there are many reasons why employees need to complete a tax return including having additional income such as property, savings or dividends, earning over £50,000 per year and being in receipt of child benefit or just because HMRC have asked you to complete one!

If you are an employee, we can review your tax to check you aren’t paying more to HMRC than you need to. We can also complete your tax return for you or submit any other paperwork to HMRC, claiming the allowances you are due. If it seems you have overpaid tax, by not claiming all the allowances you could have claimed, we can contact HMRC to arrange a refund for you.
